Work & Slay

More often than not, I'm in a neutral look, with minimal accessories, and a pop of color or a statement piece. I've found myself in a bit of a style rut as of late. Mostly because I've been so focused on work that I've put very little effort in creating looks that invigorate my creativity and showcase my personality. (See: boring)

Not dressing up to par can also put a damper on your mood and self-confidence. Usually, I feel a lot less outgoing when I know I haven't tried. I got a bit of a pick-me-up when the owner of VitalXII handbags contacted me and allowed me to shop her site! I was so delighted to see this small blue handbag that was right on trend. Mini satchels are sooo in this spring and Pantone released their Spring Color report, which included this same lovely shade of blue called "Serenity."

This bright bag was just thing I needed to bring a bit more flirty fun into one of my office-to-evening looks. Of course, I still kept a mostly neutral palette (I gotta be true to myself, lol) but dipping my toe into the color pool may just be the beginning...

This look was perfect for work and I was still able to slay at dinner with a friend afterwards! P.S. I finally got a haircut! Lord knows it's been a long time coming.
