Gray Day

My favorite time to go to the movies with my little family is during rainy weather. Nobody else is ever there, because for some reason, people in Atlanta act like the rain is made of acid. Lol, but that's fine with me because we basically have the entire theater to ourselves. And if Charlie gets cranky, we don't have to take turns stepping out into the hallway to console her. It's like we're in a theater in our own home. And of course, we sneak in our own snacks/food (oh, don't act like you don't do it too!). On this day, we had a really good time since our little Bugg slept through most of it, which allowed hubby and I to just focus on the film. We ended up playing catch up, and saw "22 Jump Street". Hilarous!!

Purr-fectly Chill

Today was a great day. The sun was out, I was able to do a little shopping, spent quality time with my little family... It was all just so nice and refreshing. Oh, and the beau had just surprised me with a beautiful new handbag and she is a stunner! Yeah, I couldn't have asked for a better, relaxing day. But on to the wardrobe information...
As mentioned in a previous post, I LOVE this SheInside dress. It is so easy to slip into and a maxi with high slits is instant glam (a la J. Lo on just about any red carpet). Here, I decided to tone down the sexy and make this dress a bit more cooler weather appropriate. By adding a few layers, and accessories, you can turn any summer dress into a surprising A/W ensemble... Plus, you can totally double your wardrobe! No more storing "off-season" clothes. I like to get the maximum wear out of all of my clothes, so if it's hanging, it's getting worn!

And of course I had the tiny diva with me!

Polar Bear's Toenail

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope that saying goodbye to 2014 was as much fun for you as it was for me. The beau and I went to an intimate NYE gathering at a friend's house. This was actually our first NYE together in the 5 years we've known each other. I rarely do anything besides go to church on the last day of the year. But at the last minute, we made other plans to be together and really making a beautiful memory celebrating how much we bounced back in 2014.
It was a truly trying, uncomfortable, challenging, yet memorable year for the two of us. We welcomed a beautiful baby girl, decided to change my last name (I'm still excited about that), ventured into entrepreneurship, learned the importance of truly supporting & loving one another unconditionally, harnessed the power of forgiveness, and searched for joy in all things (James 1:2 "My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations"). My, my, my, have we come a long way! I know that if it were not for God's presence in my life, certain situations could've been detrimental.
