Winter Neutrals

Happy holidays, everyone!! I hope you enjoyed that precious time with your loved ones. I know I surely did! Today's post is somewhat more about me than it is about what I'm wearing. Okay, so...

Lately, I have been doing a lot of soul searching. There are so many things that I want to have, places I want to see, people I'd love to talk to... I've noticed that many times, I've allowed my timidness, shyness, fear of looking dumb to hold me back from just reaching out for those things that I desire.  I've been afforded some awesome opportunities this year, but being afraid of going to events alone and feeling like a novice created so much doubt. I allowed that doubt to keep me from my full potential. 2 Timothy 1:7 says "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (Bible, NKJV) My mom always made me feel like I could do anything, be anyone, and go anywhere I wanted as long as I put forth the effort. And I'll be forever grateful for that lesson. That's why my only resolution for the new year is to take a leap of faith and be fearless!!
