Celebratory Flowers

On this day, my family and I celebrated my sister's graduation from training and certification. I am so beyond proud of my sister! After graduating from college, she has found a job within her field and is officially a member of the county law enforcement.

After the graduation we enjoyed a day of shopping and grabbing something to eat. Although I'm so proud of my sister's accomplishment, I gotta be honest... The shopping and eating was my favorite part of the day! LoL

Cut From A Different Cloth

There is nothing I love more than an outfit created entirely of wardrobe basics. It makes life so easy! This particular ensemble is comprised of a basic silk tank, black bandage skirt, a plaid button up, a classic tote, minimalist heels, and gold hoops.

Nothing special, but it still packs a punch! Cutesy, yet functional! The flannel acts as an extra layer in case I leak throughout the day (the woes of a nursing mother, lol). I use the oversized tote as a baby bag. I stash a few of my necessities in one of the small pockets on the bag and a pair of flats on the bottom.

I rarely have time for hair and makeup so a bun and a quick orange summer lip help me look put-together in a flash!

Tank: thrifted, but similar here
Bandage Skirt: House of Fraser (old)-- Newer version here and frugal find here
Plaid shirt: JC Penney (no longer available, alternative here)
Shoes: Target
Handbag: H&M (sold out, but similar style here)

Blackberry Winter

Today was the first day after what the meteorologist call a "Blackberry Winter". That's when we receive a sudden blast of cold weather after blackberries start to bloom in the spring. It surely threw me for a loop for the past few days. All of my little sundresses and sandals got pushed to the back of my closet for a bit. But since today was warmer, I dared to wear sandals and a "transitional weather appropriate" maxi dress.

These last two pictures are just a little treat because Charlie wanted to make her debut on the blog! :)

Until next post, keep it fancy!

Guess Who's Bizzack!

I know I took a long hiatus from blogging. I have been dealing with so much: graduation, camera malfunctions, traveling, but most important... I had a baby!

I still can't believe I'm the mother to a happy, healthy 4 month old girl named Charlie Phoenix! She has taught me so much and has brought me so much joy!

As for fashion, I am just getting back to the old me: fancy, everyday. It took me some time after my cesarean to get back into my heels & skinny jeans since I wasn't allowed to workout. Here's my first post, postpartum.
